Weekly Solar PV Installations (4-10th June 2012)
After downloading the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) solar installations statistics for the week ending 10th June, the latest results don’t look as good as expected. Although these results are still provisional1, the number of installations during the last 7 days has decreased around a 40% in comparison with the last week figures.
The initial installation numbers given is now 1,669 installations in this week compared to 2,570 for the week ending 3rd June 2012. The total solar panels installations on the MCS is now 327,549 and the total capacity installed increased by 1MW, keeping the total capacity installed still on 1.1GW.
Despite this last results, solar panel installations numbers are expected to increase during this summer due to the new Feed-in Tariffs beginning on August 2012, followed by another bust after it.
