How much energy consume the British?

by Sara Pernas

Do you know how much electricity and gas are consumed in your area? Do you think there is a not a great consumption difference between you and someone who lives in the opposite part of the UK? Check this out!

The Guardian has published a map – based on new energy consumption data to regional and local authority levels that have been brought out by the Department of Energy and Climate Change – where you can compare the energy consumption of different areas from the UK. DECC is committed to creating and making this energy data available in order to help local authorities and regional bodies to target their energy efficiency-related activities effectively.

Click on the map below or here for more information. Is all the data as you expected? Or is there anything that doesn’t make sense for you?
